The Belleville Black Knights will be holding their annual reunion on July 27th. The location is the Catholic War Veterans Post 370 located south of Belleville at 3535 State Route 159. Admission is $5.00 per person and the event is open to the public.The day will begin at 1:00 PM with performances by:
> The Ancient & Honorable Drummers of the Black Knights
> Ainad Drum & Bugle Corps
> Belleville Black Knights Alumni Color Guard
Following the above groups will be a performance by a Brass Ensemble consisting of alumni from drum corps representing the Belleville Black Knights, Millstadt Crusaders, Phantom Regiment, Cavaliers, Madison Scouts, Guardsmen, Racine Kilties, Bluecoats, Geneseo Knights, Royal Airs Alumni Corps, Troopers Legacy Corps, Flying Dutchmen, American Woodmen Cadets, Ainad Drum Corps, and others. The Brass Ensemble will be playing the original scores to Black Knights music from the '60's, '70's, and '80's. The final number played by the Brass Ensemble will be joined by a percussion section and color guard. (If any other drum corps members still have a "G" instrument and want to participate with our Brass Ensemble, please contact me).
At 5:00 PM, there will be an optional catered dinner available for interested attendees at $20.00 per person. The dinner menu will consist of Pork Steaks, Brats, Cowboy Beans, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, and Buns. Dinner reservations must be paid in advance and are due by July 15th. Following dinner, we will continue socializing. There will be displays of memorabilia, instruments, photos, scrapbooks, and drum corps audio & video.
