About this Event

Bellegarde Bread Workshops – Fall & Holiday 2025


We’re opening up the Bellegarde bakery this fall for a limited run of hands-on classes. These workshops are designed to give you real experience working with dough, learning the techniques behind great bread and pastry, and taking home the tools to keep baking on your own.

Each class is four hours long and includes instruction, guided practice, and a shared meal. Participants will leave with dough to finish at home, recipes, and a few essentials for their own kitchen. These workshops also make a wonderful gift for anyone who loves to bake or eat good bread.



Class Types

Bread 101
Learn the foundations of breadmaking. We’ll cover a range of doughs—from enriched brioche to rustic sourdoughs, baguettes, and focaccia. Ideal for beginners and home bakers looking to deepen their skills.

Holiday Breads & Pastries
Bake your way into the holiday season with a spread of brioche rolls, morning buns, seasonal cookies, galettes, pies, and hearty loaves. These recipes are built for the table and for sharing.



What to Expect
  • 11:00–11:15: Intro to Bellegarde
  • 11:15–12:30: Demo, autolyse, mixing, folds
  • 12:30: Lunch (provided by us)
  • 1:00–2:30: Shaping & baking
  • 2:30–3:00: Tasting, packing, take-home instruction

You’ll bake everything in class with the exception of country and baguette doughs, which you’ll take home to finish baking on Sunday. Both doughs will be demonstrated in class, and you’ll get to taste them before leaving.

Good to Know
  • Street parking is ample, with a small lot also available.
  • Bring water, an apron, and most importantly — your love for bread.
  • A waitlist will open once classes sell out.

Class Size: Limited to 15 participants
Refund Policy: no refunds or donate the ticket to a friend.
