Learn the pie making process that was brought to the USA by Belgian Immigrants. Bake along with Gina Guth in the Flour Pot Kitchen.For those less familiar with the tradition, Belgian Pie is a sweet pastry with various fillings and toppings. The dessert is sold at various festivals and Kermiss celebrations throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
In this hands-on in person class you will receive the recipes and instruction for making 2 pies of your choice. Flavors include apple, raisin, cherry, or prune that are topped with a sweet cheesecake type flavor made from blended cottage cheese. Also, a rice pudding custard filling that is topped with whipped cream when cooled.
