See archives relating to bridges, viaducts, chapels and schools, and how these buildings shaped the communities around them. You’ll also learn more about some of Cornwall’s most famous architects, such as Silvanus Trevail and George Vaughan Ellis.
Whether you’re a history buff, a budding architect or you’re just curious about Cornwall’s past, this is a fantastic opportunity to explore 850 years of stories cared for in the archives. Perfect for curious minds and anyone who loves a good peek behind-the-scenes!

Tours last approximately one hour and are suitable for all ages (although most suitable for those over 8 years of age).
The tours have limited spaces, so please book your free ticket now on our Ticket Tailor event page.
Our building is fully accessible – please do let us know if you have any mobility/access needs. The tours cover both the ground floor and first floor, and although we have lifts, they are not fire lifts. In the unlikely event of any emergency we have two fire refuges on the first floor and stairs.
