Behind-the-Scenes: Public Cleaning Performance Audits

Find out more about the daily operations that help keep our many public spaces in Singapore clean! Learn how NEA leverages technology to do so efficiently and effectively.

Participants will join our officers for a walk along roads, pavements, parks, and other common public spaces to get a flavour of NEA’s routine inspection regime. They will see firsthand the use of a customised mobile app to enhance the public cleaning inspection operations. These include taking photos, geo-tagging and submitting real-time information for cleaning service providers to take swift follow-up actions.

The tour will help participants gain a deeper understanding of the context and challenges these dedicated officers face in their daily work.

This tour requires extensive walking over a selection of routes.

Do note that participants must be at least 18 years old to participate in this activity.

Participants are required to wear covered shoes and long pants for this tour.

As there will be significant walking as part of this event, we strongly encourage participants to be mindful of your physical health before signing up and attending this this event.
