About this Event
The pitching, filming, production and release of any natural history feature or series is a monumental undertaking. But what is the reality behind the end product, what is the current state of the industry, and what stories remain to be told?
Daniel Rasmussen is a producer and director behind some of the most important wildlife documentary series ever produced. His most recent project was the hugely successful ocean episode of "Mammals" on BBC1, and he has also created some of Disney and Discovery's landmark series.
Monty Halls has been producing television series for twenty years, with recent projects including "Freedom Trails" and "My Family and the Galapagos" for Channel Four, and "Commando" for BBC2. He runs Seadog Productions, an independent production company based in Devon.
This event is ideal for anyone considering entering the industry, or those who have a passion for natural history television series and want to learn more.
The day will run approximately from 9.30 am until 5.00 pm with short coffee breaks and an hour for lunch which we will provide.
The Seadog studio is based in Steamer Quay in Totnes so right next to the river with ample parking and places to overnight if required.
