We request that members submit a set of images from a recent club field trip and talk with the club about why they chose those images. It’s similar to our “Behind the Image” but it’s about a set of photos, not just an award winning image. Points to be covered:
What equipment did you use? Was it the right choice for the field trip?
Did you try any new techniques such as filters or new editing tricks?
What new subjects did you find to photograph on the field trip?
What would you do differently if you went there again? I.e. show us some images you didn’t like
Did you learn something from other members on the field trip?
We also encourage members to send in a couple of photos they’re considering for competitions to get a critique and helpful improvement suggestions. This is an opportunity to verify images you are entering in the Nature category. We can start or end the meeting with the critiques as a separate discussion from the field trip photos.

Select a few images from recent field trips
Scale the images to approx 1400x1050 pixels to match the max resolution of the projector (and to comply with file size limits on email attachments)
Prepare notes for your narration: let’s keep each presenter to 5 -7 minutes
Critique requests:
Select one or two images you are considering for competitions or just want to know how to improve it
