HOST Tom Kelly
As a seven-year-old in Wisconsin, Tom Kelly became hooked on the Olympics by watching Penny Pitou win silver in the downhill on TV at the 1960 Olympic Winter Games. Since then, he has become a renowned Olympic storyteller, working with over a hundred medalists as the longtime spokesperson for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team.
OLYMPIC ATHLETE Ted Ligety
As a kid, Ted Ligety used to rip around Park City Mountain with his brother. And while he wasn’t one of the best on the Park City Ski Team, his work ethic earned him a forerunner spot at the 2002 Olympics. Four years later, he made the games himself, winning gold in the alpine combined at age 21. Ligety dominated giant slalom in his sport, winning five season titles. In 2013, he joined an elite group winning three World Championship gold. After failing to win a medal in 2010, he found redemption in 2014, taking giant slalom gold in one of the sport’s most talked-about second runs. Today, he’s a Deer Valley Resort ambassador, leading his family of young boys ripping around the mountain.
