Join us for an unforgettable evening with Joe R. Lansdale, an internationally bestselling author and an eleven-time winner of the Bram Stoker Award, which is presented annually for "superior achievement" in dark fantasy and horror writing. This unique event will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the author's work, his inspirations, and much more.
Lansdale's work spans genres and media, with his short fiction adapted for Masters of Horror, Love, Death & Robots, and Creepshow. His novels Bubba Ho-tep and Cold became major motion pictures in July, and his iconic characters inspired the Netflix series Hap and Leonard. Additionally, he's penned graphic novels for DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, IDW, and more.
Lansdale will be at the Library to celebrate the release of his latest short-story collection, a mix of irreverent Lovecraftian tributes. Expect his signature gonzo style, paired with the chilling vibes of H. P. Lovecraft.

Get ready for an insightful discussion with the author himself! Joe R. Lansdale will share his experiences and thoughts on writing, his books, and more. A book signing will follow the talk, and you'll also have the opportunity to purchase his books through Half Price Books.
Movie Screening | 8:00 PM - Free
To cap off the night, enjoy a special after-hours screening of Lansdale's favorite Lovecraftian film, the award-winning silent movie The Call of Cthulhu. Come for an engaging book event; stay for a free horror film!
