In this workshop, you will weave a beautiful scarf. You’ll start by getting an overview of weaving as a craft and the different types of looms available. Next, we will introduce you and work on the rigid heddle loom, explaining its basic components and how it works. Next you will learn how to measure and prepare your warp, efficiently thread your loom, and ensure proper tension for a smooth setup. We will cover essential weaving techniques, such as plain weave (over, under), beating the weft (horizontal threads) into place, and changing sheds (raising and lowering the loom heddle ).You’ll practice achieving uniform tension and beat.
