About this Event
Rebecca Rector is an intuitive artist whose work celebrates emotions using watercolor. Guided by intuition, she blends vibrant hues and texture to evoke curiosity. She has a BS and MS in Art Education and taught high school art for 36 years.
Student Objectives:
· Define approach to creating abstract paintings
· Identify variety of techniques and materials
· Discuss techniques, composition, contrast, and color
Description:
While you create an abstract painting, you’ll explore various watercolor materials as well as discover a variety of techniques and approaches to using watercolor. The instructor will demonstrate an array of approaches that will inspire you to continue painting far beyond your workshop.
· All necessary materials are provided
· You may bring your favorite materials such as brushes and paints
· Bring an apron or wear your painting clothes
Only 15 seats are available for this workshop. You must be at least 16 years old or with an adult. This workshop is held at the Grand Theater in Old Town Lewisville. The address is 100 N. Charles Street and we will be in Classroom 1.
