This class is in person for 10 weeks, 3 hours per week. ​
Class cost: $599, materials separate. Copper and Brass will be included. 
This beginning level jewellery class will provide a solid foundation of metal, tools, techniques, and safety. We will make approximately 4-5 pieces of jewellery over the 10 weeks with the final project being a cabochon ring. Students are encouraged to design their own projects. 
The following techniques will be covered: *sawing *polishing *soldering *sanding/filing *piercing *texturing *patinas *ring sizing and making *forming *stamping *bezel setting *making ear wires ​
The following tools will be covered: *flex shaft *disc cutter *dapping block *soldering torch ​ You will receive a manual with all the techniques and step by step instructions to go along with the class. ​ 
10 hours of studio time are provided with this class. Studio time must be used within 90 days of the last class.
PREREQUISITES: None
Please Note: Beginning Silversmithing covers the fundamentals of silversmithing. Each class builds on the week before so missing a class can be challenging. In particular, missing week 3 which covers the soldering foundation will set you behind.
