and if you want a cohesive look to your finished quilt you can buy or make your own layer cake (stack of coordinating 10" fabric squares).

April - Please bring in your completed "Rail Fence" block
in class: the basics, p10-15, demo: nine patch p25
May - planning the quilt, p16-17, demo: square dance p27. Please bring in your completed Nine Patch block.
June - hand quilting p18-19, demo: log cabin variation
July 26 - machine quilting p20-21, demo friendship star p33
August - pick a pattern, demo: flying geese p35
September - piecing tips, demo: wild goose p 38
October - outside borders, demo: sampler p49
November - sandwich and quilting
December (day TBD, usually we have a holiday party) - show and tell
