About this Event
This class introduces the fundamentals of mosaic art through a fun, hands-on project. Students will learn how to choose the best materials for their design, with a variety of tile colors, sizes, and shapes available. We’ll discuss different types of tiles, adhesives, and grout, as well as techniques for adhering mosaics to wooden surfaces. Basic math concepts will be used to help with layout and spacing, making this an engaging introduction to a new creative medium.
The class covers planning a two-dimensional mosaic, including sketching ideas on paper, measuring, and understanding how shapes and sizes fit together.
