Beginning Metal Clay: NYC Garden EarringsInstructor: Francesca Faucette

In this workshop, students will learn how to turn a lump of gray clay into a sparkling pair of fine silver earrings, no kiln required! Inspired by New York City’s rooftop gardens, these earrings will add a little everyday glamour to your look. The instructor will teach students how to create pieces in metal clay using a butane torch, so students can easily set up a space in their home without investing in a kiln or expensive equipment.
You’ll learn step by step how to:
Roll and texture the clay
Cut matching earring shapes
Sand and finish your pieces
Torch-fire the clay so it transforms into .999 fine silver
What you'll take home:
One custom pair of earrings in fine silver.

About the Instructor
Francesca is a designer at heart and has been creating jewelry since early 1999. She is mostly self-taught, although she has taken workshops in almost all mediums. Francesca works intuitively, gathers inspiration and twists, turns, bashes, and burns it until she gets the desired outcome. Her work is bold, expressive, and filled with texture! Francesca has taught in the Carolinas, at national bead shows, and for almost 2 decades in the Nashville area as Francesca Lynn and has recently relocated back to the home of her heart, East Tennessee, where she started Studio Navarri.
