Welcome to Beginning Copperplate!
Come join us for a fun and interactive workshop where you'll learn the beautiful art of Copperplate Calligraphy. This event is perfect for beginners who want to explore the world of elegant handwriting, create beautiful place cards or spruce up a gift for the holidays.
Date: Four sessions: November 12, 13, 19 and 20th, 2024
Time: 11: 00 AM - 1:30 PM each class
Location: This will be a Hybrid class and will be held at Crawford County Art Center as well as Zoom.
During this four part, 10 hour, hands-on workshop, you'll be guided through the basics of Copperplate script. Don't miss out on this opportunity to start your journey into the art of Calligraphy. Grab a friend and bring your enthusiasm to learn something new!

About the instructor:
Georgette is a certified instructor in American Cursive Handwriting. Georgette has had the honor to study closely with four of the nine living Master Penmen in the world. She has a passion for her craft of Calligraphy and Engraving as well as educating those who are interested in learning or improving their calligraphy skills. It is her belief that we are at an age where it is crucial to preserve this skill and our link to the past. Georgette is cross trained in Pointed Pen, Broad Edge Pen, Brush Calligraphy and Gilding techniques.
Supplies Needed:
Printed Handouts (will be emailed to student prior to class)
A supply list will be emailed to students upon registration, or a supply kit will be available for purchase at the first day of class. If you are choosing our Zoom option, a supply kit can be purchased and shipped, shipping fees will apply.
Course Schedule:
We will meet in a hybrid fashion, giving the students the opportunity to choose to join us in the classroom or to join us on Zoom.
We will meet on Tuesday November 12th, Wednesday November 13th, Tuesday November 19th and Wednesday November 20th from 11AM to 1:30 PM.
We will have 2 hours instruction with 30 minutes for questions at the end of each class.
