Have you ever wanted to try the pottery wheel and make your own mugs, bowls, or plates? This 8-week beginner class is just for you!
About this Event

Dates: October 16 - December 11 (no class Nov. 25)

Designed especially for youth, this hands-on course will teach you the basics of wheel throwing in a fun, supportive environment. Working with clay on the wheel might look tricky at first—but don’t worry! With the help of studio potter Sara Ballek, you’ll learn step-by-step how to center, shape, trim, and glaze your own pottery.

Each week, you’ll build new skills and get to see your creations come to life—from a simple lump of clay to a finished piece you can actually use! You’ll get to try different forms, learn tips for throwing taller and wider, and explore the full process of making functional pottery from start to finish.
