* CLASS IS FULL ** ASK ABOUT OUR WAITLIST! *
We are so excited to be offering Bobbin lace once again at Lacis Museum! This is the perfect class for total beginners.
Bobbin lace - also called Pillow lace or Bone lace - has an immense history in Western material culture, with its origins stretching back to 16th-century Venice. But you, too, can learn how to make beautiful Bobbin lace and turn a traditional craft into your very own modern medium for self-expression.
In this intimate one-day workshop, you’ll cover all the basics, beginning with setting up your pillow, winding the bobbins, and using a pricking pattern. Summer will take you step-by-step and set you on a path to mastering the half stitch, whole stitch, torchon ground stitch, and working spiders.
Your Bobbin Lace adventures begin now…!
The fee for the class is $75.00.
