Join Seth Chapman, Apothecary Manger and experienced birder, on a birdwatching hike through Kleinstuck Preserve. This month’s featured bird is the Green Heron. Before taking to the trails of Kleinstuck Preserve, there will be a short discussion on the Green Heron. Come learn how to identify this bird using markers such as shape, size, habitat, and more!
During our hike we will attune to our surroundings, looking and listening to the many species of birds which grace our presence. What can we learn by observing our feathered fiends? In contemplation, we will deepen our understanding of ourselves, and the environment around us.
Come to hike in community, sharpen your identification skills, build your life list, and expand your bird knowledge! All skill levels are welcome. There will also be complementary chai.
Registration covers one adult, and individual registrations are not shareable between two or more individuals. Birders 10 and under are welcome to attend free of charge.
Please bring a pair of binoculars and a travel mug for complementary chai.
This hike takes place rain or shine, so please dress appropriately (layers, rain jacket, bug spray, etc).
