Are you ready to try BACKPACKING? This is the perfect first experience - try out all your gear and enjoy a great night on the trail locally
Join Compass Point home of Dirty Girl Adventures for a Beginner's Backpacking Adventure! This adventure is a great first outing for a novice backpacker; one night, fully supported and plenty of time to learn and practice! It's also a great outing for an experienced backpacker; time to try new gear, hang out with friends and get ready for future backpacking adventures! Plus, it's a night of camping on the trail with friends!
We will be on the Perry Lake Trail for a point to point hike covering 8-10 miles total. We will provide a gear list in advance and we'll be there with you for the adventure to provide any support that you might need. We will provide a water filter and a GREAT time on the trail!
Regular tickets: $125
Club tickets: $100
WHEN: Saturday March 1st check in time AT THE TRAIL HEAD 11:00am - we should be off trail by mid day Sunday March 2nd.
WHAT: Backpacking aka carry everything you need on your back, hike, cook your food, sleep in your tent, eat some breakfast and chillax with friends on the trail.
What are you paying for? Dirty Girl Adventures, LLC will organize the event, provide a guide, support on the trail and docent information throughout the event. We will monitor the weather and conditions to ensure that our event and participants are safe. Our knowledgeable and informed guide service includes a leading guide and a sweep guide during the hike. Trail support including: first aid, knowledge of the environment and locale, safety monitoring, pacing, interpretive information on the environment and location.
In case you are wondering about our refund policy – refunds are given up to two weeks before the date of the event when the refund is requested in an email directed to [email protected]. After that, there are no refunds. Dirty Girl Adventures may cancel an event due to weather or conditions. Everyone will receive a refund if that is the reason for the cancellation. We will paddle and hike in cool, rainy or snowy conditions. Cancellation only occurs in severe weather or other dangerous conditions.
