In connection with the Silicon Valley Reads book, “Give Me a Sign” by Anna Sortino, we are offering a basic one-hour introductory American Sign Language (ASL) course. Basic concepts will include the Manual Alphabet, numbers 1-20, and some basic signs.
Being able to greet someone in their language and just knowing a few words—or in this case, signs—can turn a good interaction with someone into a great one. For anyone who has been curious to learn American Sign Language, this is the chance!
This event is a part of the annual Silicon Valley Reads (SV Reads) program and suitable for adults.
