This class is designed for adult beginners (and beginner plus) Led artist and mentor Toby Penney, this series meets weekly throughout February and March. Each class provides a relaxed, creative environment where you can focus on building your skills and confidence.
This class is designed for beginners. However, artists who have taken Toby’s previous classes are encouraged to join and continue developing their talents. Toby offers personalized guidance, tailoring class material to fit each student’s goals and artistic growth.
What you’ll learn:
The essential materials and tools for acrylic painting
Basic acrylic techniques and brushwork
Color theory fundamentals
Step-by-step approaches to painting key landscape elements (sky, water, trees, etc.)
Tips for adding detail, depth, and perspective to your artwork
By the end of the series, you’ll have completed a collection landscape & natural element paintings and gained the skills to further your artistic practice.
We’ll provide all the materials you need, but feel free to bring along:
Snacks and drinks
Your favorite acrylic brushes or canvases
A sketchbook or journal for notes and inspiration
