In this four-week series, you will practice the beginning steps of pottery on the wheel. During this four week session, you will be taught centering, throwing a cylinder, throwing a bowl, trimming, making handles, and glazing. You can expect to make between four and six items to take home. The class includes up to 12 lbs of clay and free Open Studio sessions for the duration. Additional clay can be purchased as needed, however, it is rare that you would need more in this sampler class. You can expect to make between 4 and 6 items.8 or 16 week extensions are available for those who would like a longer and more in-depth course of study.
