2026 is the year to get more creative! We are thrilled to welcome the very talented (and patient!) Rita Gould to our lovely studio for a Beginners Watercolour Workshop.If you’ve ever wanted to start a new hobby this is your opportunity to try watercolour! How much water to use? How to load your brush? How to paint white? How to manage the flow? How to protect your artwork? How to fix mistakes in watercolour? How to stretch watercolour paper? You will practice all of the main watercolour techniques, brushstrokes exercises, tonal values, consistency, colour wheel and colour theory, and much more!
All materials are provided for the workshop and there will be a chance to purchase a beginner kit from Rita at the end of session if you want to carry on at home. You will be provided with an A4 size practice sheet for watercolour techniques carefully designed and prepared by Rita and an A3 size paper filled with practical exercises which will help you learn more about watercolour. You will also be going home with 2 finished A5 size paintings: a night sky forest and a sunrise cactus.
