About this Event
You're invited to join us in learning the fundamentals of botanical watercolour painting. Whether you've a few paintings under your belt, or are just starting out with watercolour, I'll have some fresh tips and tricks for you to discover, as well as a printed guide to take home.
NOTE This ticket is for the single stand-alone Lesson i. You can purchase a ticket for the whole course/ all 4 lessons together (block starting with this lesson on 20th Nov)

- Become familiar with your materials
- Translate your vision for the painting on to the page
- Create stunning and convincing botanicals and florals
- Make painting a fun and stress-free experience!
Each session has a different focus~
Lesson i~ Planning and Vision (Weds 20th Nov 19.00-20.30)
- How to play and test your vision for a beautiful painting
- Choosing your 'focal point'
- Creating balanced compositions
Each lesson will have a different choice of real and photographed botanical subjects to paint and study, and you'll pick up the fundamentals which can be applied to any painting subject, not just botanicals.
Laura Carter is a professional English illustrator, with several years experience of giving art workshops.
