This beginner’s workshops helps participants start their journey as a stand up comedian through different exercises that explore joke writing, performance technique, and improvisation. Participants will learn different jokes structures, as well techniques for enhancing their own comedic voice.
By no means is this an ultimate, end-all guide, this is only the start of your journey. The world of stand-up comedy can be an intimidating one, especially to those without experience. This workshopwill take a realistic and pragmatic approach to the craft taught in a friendly and supportive environment to give you the tools to start your journey!
Taught by Dan Belkin
Dan Belkin started performing as stand up comedian and improviser in Canada in 2014. He now lives now in Germany where he performs comedy in English and tours all over Europe. He has been featured on Canada Laughs on Sirius XM, RTL TV, Red Mic, and has headlined the American Comedy Tour in Switzerland , he has also played in multiple Fringe Festivals. In 2023-2024 Dan has toured his stand up show in over 30 cities with sellous in many cities including Berlin,Brussels, Zurich,Geneva,Rotterdam, Viena,Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Prague ,Luxembourg and more!
