Come along to this relaxed, informal class, where you can spend time making and glazing a carved wall decal (plaque) or wall clock. This class is suitable for beginners as well as anyone who has attended a previous workshop.In this workshop, you will make a flat, decorative wall decal using slab building and a range of carving tools, stamp imprints and techniques. I have different templates but will send you a range of ideas before the class. If you wish to make a clock, we will simply cut a hole for the mechanism – you can either use your own or I can supply one, just choose the clock ticket when you book.
You can decorate your piece using underglaze, brushes and sponges and I will then fire your work, give it a final transparent glaze and then fire for a final time.
All equipment and materials are supplied, and you will be able to make, glaze and take home (in a couple of weeks after firing) a unique piece of ceramic art that you have made yourself.
I am a qualified teacher and the class takes place at my studio in Brooke, just south of Norwich.
