What You’ll Learn:

Fabian will guide you through each step in the life cycle of a mushroom, from germination to harvest, and show you how to care for your own mushroom colony. You'll get hands-on experience with all stages of the process, including:

- Germination: The starting point of your mushroom journey

- Agar: Creating the perfect environment for your spores

- Colonization: How to grow your mushrooms in optimal conditions

- Fruiting: Bringing your mushrooms to life

- Harvest: How to know when your mushrooms are ready

- Reproduction: Collecting spores and preparing for the next batch

What’s Included:

Each student will receive hands-on guidance in inoculating their own grain bag and building a Still Air Box. Your class materials will include:

- 1.5 lbs of sterilized grain for inoculation

- 5ml syringe with liquid culture

- 1.5 lbs substrate for your grow setup

- 1 qt colonized grains to take home

- The tools and materials to build and fill your own tub setup.

Bonus: You’ll leave with your own custom-built grow kit, which you can take home and watch your mushrooms thrive, just in time for the holidays!
