Join us to learn how to machine quilt by creating a quilted hot pad. Beginner level. No experience needed.
Class fee includes:
- Teach Yourself to Machine Quilt book by Leisure Arts
- Hot pad pattern
- Fabric
- Batting
- Thread
- Use of sewing machine
- Use of notions
- Instruction
We will discuss the basics of quilting including how to sew, how to select and rotary cut fabric, parts of the fabric, sewing machine safety and operation, how to quilt with the sewing machine, how to hand sew a quilt binding. We will work some practice stitches first. Worried you won't finish by the end of the event? Don't be! You can take your project home to complete it on your sewing machine with unlimited phone assistance, you can purchase the class sewing machine and notions to take home to finish or you can leave it to be finished by our talented quilter. :D
You are welcome to bring snacks and beverages (adult or not) of your choice to this event.
