About this Event

Join us for a hands-on learning experience about hydroponic gardening! Hydroponics can seem intimidating, but everything will fall into place after this guided introduction and you will be able to continue on this growing method in stride! Whether you're a complete novice or just looking to expand your knowledge, this workshop is perfect for anyone interested in growing plants without soil.

Learn the basics of setting up your own hydroponic system, choosing the right plants, and maintaining a healthy growing environment. Participants will then assemble their own hydroponic mason jar to take home, with a lettuce or basil plant included! Our experienced instructor will guide you through each step, answering any questions you may have along the way.

Austin, from Austin, is a long time gardener, farm nerd, and aspiring agroecologist in the Central Texas scene. Through volunteer farming and engaging in outreach he actively pursues ways to improve the local food system with the aim of cultivating community.
