About this Event
Great Value : 4 Classroom Lessons, 1 Practical and 1 Hands on Visit to the Bees!
Beekeeping is a fascinating hobby that connects you to the countryside that surrounds us, is great for the environment and produces lots of tasty honey.
Hertfordshire Beekeepers, Central & South Association (HBCSA) Beginners Beekeeping Course is a great first step for those who want to know more about bees and beekeeping and maybe taking the first steps in getting going with the hobby.
We will introduce you to the bees (hands on!) and what you need to do to get started. You will see what kit you need to buy and we will show you how to construct your first hive. Together, we will run though the things you need to do throughout your first year to be successful.
It is also a great opportunity to meet the local beekeepers who will help you with your first bees.
