About this Event
In this workshop we will forage what is bountiful in our natural environment in the season of Autumn. Looking at what mushrooms, berries seeds and nuts we can find! We will be introduced to foraging consciously and sustainably according to the 'Hunter-Gatherer way' by forager and artist Jemima Hall. We will start by identifying some beginners edible foods and then discuss our findings and enjoy some wild tea.
This event is for those based in the East End of Glasgow only. Please provide your postcode upon booking a ticket!
This foraging walk will form part of a four part mini-series focusing on mushrooms, including:
- Mushroom Growing at the Wash House Garden
- Collaborating with Fungi talk with Rhyze Mushrooms
- Mushroom film Screening at the Space
We will meet at 1pm at the Saracen Fountain in , Glasgow, G31 3LJ. The walk will last for 2 hours, finishing at 3pm.
All ages are welcome!
We will be outside, and during our Scottish Autumn the weather can be very variable. We advise good shoes for walking off path and a waterproof jacket in case it rains.
