Tuition Includes:
- Open studio time 7 days a week.
- One 25lb bag of clay.
- All tools, buckets, and bats needed for the class.
- Glazes and slips needed to finish pieces.
- Firing of up to 10 pieces made in class. (Regurlar firing fee per piece beyond that)

Class Overview:
Join us for a 6-week evening pottery series designed for all skill levels - from complete beginners to students ready for intermediate projects. Weather you've never used a wheel before or you're looking to refine your throwing techniques, this class will meet you where you are.
Beginners will learn how to center clay and create functional piecs like mugs, bowls, plates, etc. Intermediate students can dive into more complex forms and personlaized projects. We'll also cover trimming, decorating, and glazing techniques so you can finish your pieces beautifully.
Many students take this class more than once, using each session to build new skills and expand their creativity. Can be taken as many times as you like on an ongoing basis or just once.

Who Should Attend:Perfect for all skill levels, whether you’re starting a new hobby or deepening your pottery skills.
AGES: Class is open to ages 16 and up.
Please wear appropriate clothing for getting clay on, trim your fingernails, tie back long hair and remove any hand accessories. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that participants bring a towel to drape across their lap.
Cancellation Policy:
MakerSpace reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment. If a class is canceled by MakerSpace, fees are 100% refundable. Student cancellations made at least 7 days before the first clsss are refundable minus a $25 processing fee. No refunds or tuition credits will be issueed with less than one week's notice.
Pottery pieces not picked up after 30 days will be discarded.
Class may be canceled due to low enrollment in which case a full refund will be issued.

About the Instructor:
The instructor, Hope Thomas, is a dedicated potter with over 20 years of experience. As a full-time potter, Hope brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to each class. Hope holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNC Charlotte where she concentrated in Ceramics, and has enriched her craft through classes at the renowned Penland School of Craft, where she has volunteered at the auction annually. Hope has sold her work in shops and at festivals, been hired for commissions, and currently sells all her creations from her online shop.
