🚨 OAC4x4 Standards and Behaviour
* Treat others how you would like to be treated. Be kind, considerate and courteous to your fellow members and co-passengers.
Remember the people who attend these events want and need to have your back while in remote areas.
* Respect the environment you are in. Take home what you bring, do not litter. If you see rubbish please pick it up and dispose of it appropriately. We pride ourselves on cleanliness.
* When traveling on tracks if you can not see the vehicle behind you slow down or stop until they catch up. This creates a domino effect so no one is separated from the group.
* On more challenging tracks, proceed with one car at a time. Ensure someone is on the ground navigating and communication is clear (UHF/hand helds can help with this). Walk the tracks first, pick your lines and observe where your wheel placement should be. This should be done as a group before attempting the track as this provides an opportunity for less experienced drivers to observe, learn and have a go in a safe and supervised environment.
* In the case of a recovery, it is advised you hook up your own recovery points if possible (person who is stuck attach their end and person performing recovery attach their end). This ensures peace of mind that each receiving end has been attached correctly and safely before the recovery begins.
* Take care of yourself. Keep hydrated and have regular rest breaks. Communicate with your group if you are not feeling up to driving, we are here to help one another. If you are in a situation where you are not confident in your driving ability or feeling out of your comfort zone, ensure you voice this to you group and find a safe alternative for you and you vehicle. Park up and jump in as a passenger or take an alternate route.
* In more remote locations medical treatment and help can be more difficult. In the event of an accident or medical episode we will try to have a satellite phone but be aware that its not always possible, so if you have concerns with this then it will be up to you to provide your own.
By attending OAC4x4 Events you are agreeing to:
* Be responsible for you and your vehicle. In case of a break down or accident OAC4x4 and it’s members hold no responsibility or liability for the incident or the financials required to recover from the incident.
* OAC4x4 strictly does not condone alcohol or drug consumption while behind the wheel.
* OAC4x4 encourages all members and co-passengers to wear their seat belt at all times.
* OAC4x4 is not responsible for any required insurances while on trips. It is a legal requirement that your vehicle have a minimum of a Comprehensive Third Party policy. Ensure your policy is current and up to date.
* OAC4x4 is a community we can all be proud of. People from all walks of life, driving abilities and interests come together to enjoy 4WDing in a safe, educational and fun environment.
Please abide by these behaviour rules, be liable for your choices and help us continue to be proud of our values. Remember by attending an OAC4x4 event you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
