Do you want to learn how to use watercolour?If you're brand new to watercolour painting or are looking to get back into it after a long break, this class is for you.
Learn from professional watercolour artist and arts educator Josslyn Meyers as you explore basic techniques. Topics will include:
- How to create washes that don't look muddy
-Working with different brushes to get different looks
-Understanding how watercolours react to each other, water and the paper
-Understanding how colors mix (very different from acrylics!)
-How to gain some control over this more fluid method
-Finding your own personal approach to creating imagery and to feel more comfortable with this medium.
Materials will be provided for the first two classes, allowing you to experiment and discover high-quality paints, brushes, and paper, which are essential for achieving the best results. The focus is on cultivating a playful, expressive approach as you build confidence and creativity with watercolor. Classes will build upon each other, with a variety of subjects and themes.
