Textures & Mark Making
After this class students will understand the basics of mark-making with a brush and know how to use various household objects to create exciting textures in their pieces
Instruction topics: In this class we’ll reference artists known for using mark-making in their work. Students will then learn how to use everyday items/materials found in our kitchens to create exciting textures in their watercolor paintings. Students will gain an understanding of texture and mark-making via experimental studies. Homework: Students will be asked to choose an image or a concept that they would like to paint. They are invited to begin working on this piece throughout the week so they may come into the final class with questions/challenges that arise.
