Join us in person at the beautiful 24 Royal Terrace boutique hotel for an afternoon of spinning wool, prosecco, tea & scones on Sunday 29 September 2024 at 1pm - 4pm. Debbie Zawinski (author of In the Footsteps of Sheep) will be your tutor for the afternoon. This workshop is ideal for complete beginners wishing to learn the wonderful skill of spinning yarn. It will also suit seasoned spinners who are unfamiliar with the technique of spinning using a weaving 'pirn'.
You will go home with a small skein of hand spun yarn having mastered the arts of spinning, plying, creating a centre-pull ball of yarn and winding a skein on a niddy noddy.
All materials will be provided. Join us for the complete 'fleece to fancy yarn' experience!
24 Royal Terrace is an independent family-run boutique hotel situated in Central Edinburgh at the foot of Calton Hill. The hotel is nestled amongst the grand Georgian townhouses on Royal Terrace. The lounge where the workshop is held is on the ground floor and fully accessible.
