This is a drop-in 45 minute class that covers the basics of partnered social dancing including lead and follow, dance etiquette, basic rhythm, and some basic patterns. Each week we will cover a different dance:- Waltz (8/5, 9/16, 10/28, 12/9)
- Swing (8/12, 9/23, 11/4, 12/16)
- Foxtrot (7/8, 8/19, 9/30, 11/11)
- Rumba (7/15, 8/26, 10/7, 11/18)
- Tango (7/22, 9/2, 10/14, 11/25)
- Cha Cha (7/29, 9/9, 10/21, 12/2)
No experience is required, and no partner is required. Dance shoes or high heels are NOT required. All students will learn both dance roles (lead and follow). The goal of this class is to enable the student to go out and dance socially with confidence. Come as you are, no preregistration required! The cost of this class is $10 per week.
