Even if you've never sewn a stitch, don't be nervous! This class will get you friendly with the sewing machine-- yours or ours.
We'll cover:
Threading
Tension
Stitch Length, Width, and Functions
Presser Feet
Needles, Changing and Choosing
We'll make your first project- a sunglass case.
Project 2: Lined Zipper Pouch

Learn your way around corners, linings, and closures! We'll sew a simple, lined zipper pouch to store all your sundries!
Project 3: Snap Closure Wristlet
Tues. April 23, 12-1:30pm
Wed. April 17, 6-7:30pm
Sat. April 20, 10:30am-12pm
We'll learn to make a strap, sew a tiny french seam, use hardware and snaps, make a buttonhole, and sew on a button by hand.
Project 4: Hobo-Style Bag
Tues. April 30, 12-1:30pm
Wed. April 24, 6-7:30pm
Sat. April 27, 10:30am-12pm
You've graduated to curves! We'll cut out our project on a fold with a pattern, sew and grade curves, sew a lining, and box corners.
