This a fun quilt that can be put together in an afternoon. It is a great pattern for beginner quilters.In this class, you will learn how to cut your fabric, square blocks, nest your seams and so much more.
The pattern we will be following is called “Just can’t cut it” by All Washed Up designs. It makes a lap size quilt 63“ x 87“.
You will need to bring your own working sewing machine, have basic knowledge on how to use your machine & your favorite sewing notions aka tools.
For this class, you will need to purchase fabric. (10% discount applies)
You will need 6 different fabrics and coordinating thread.
Details:
1-Focus fabric and 5 coordinating fabrics. You will want to select five small scale prints, stripes, and or plaid or some type of print that does not compete with your focus fabric.
Focus Fabric
3 1/2 yds - focus fabric is the main fabric in the quilt, it will be your large blocks, and your outer border.
5 coordinating fabrics, they should coordinate with your focus fabric and keep in mind. One of them will be your inner border that will outline the inside of your quilt. You will need 1/2 yard of each one.
All fabrics will need to be purchased before the day of the class.
Cost of class: $65
A light lunch will be provided.
Class will begin at 10:15 AM and will end at 5 PM.
You must register and pay for the class before the day of the class.
Class is limited to 10 people.
