Learn modern calligraphy with Sharon from Calligraphy and the City in Liverpool city centre, in this 2.5 hour introductory workshop and learn this beautiful lettering technique in our workshop space.This workshop is designed for beginners, even if you have bad handwriting this course is still for you. During the workshop you will be shown how to prepare the nib and hold the pointed pen. Starting with the basic strokes you will quickly appreciate the mindful benefits of this fun and on trend lettering style of modern calligraphy. You’ll then learn how each letter is formed from a combination of those basic strokes, working through the alphabet as shapes. Then we move onto connecting letters and forming words. We will then put your new skills to use, making greeting cards and gift tags.
The cost of the workshop is £69. This includes 2.5 hour workshop, a hot drink with delicious cake from our own Scribblers café and a starter calligraphy pack (RRP £25), meaning you can continue your calligraphy journey after the class. What’s included in you pack
