About this Event
Lindy hop is an African-American social dance that originated in the 1920s in Harlem. It includes both 8 count and 6 count steps. This month we will learn the basics of 8-count lindy.
No experience is necessary. While this is a partner dance that involves both a lead and a follow, no partner is necessary for this class. We will rotate in class so that all leads and follow get to dance together.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that are easy to dance in. Please bring a water bottle as well.
This class is $70 for the 5 class series or $15 for a drop-in. Because the class is progressive and covers new material each class, drop ins are only advised for the first class or for students that have some dance experience. The number of drop-in slots available will depend on the number of people that sign up for the 5 class series.
This class is for participants aged 18 and up.
Policies:
No refunds are allowed as this is a small event and must be able to cover cost of the venue.
