Beginner Hare’s Ear Nymph Class
This class introduces new fly tyers to the fundamentals of creating the versatile Hare’s Ear Nymph. You’ll focus on basic techniques like starting thread, tying a tail, forming a segmented body with dubbing, adding a rib (optional), palmering or stacking hackle, and finishing the head. Using larger, easier-to-handle hooks and beginner-friendly materials, this pattern builds skills that transfer to many other nymphs and wet flies, making it the perfect first fly to catch trout, bass, and panfish.
