PLEASE NOTE: This event has been rescheduled from May 21st to July 10th.
In this class, beginners will be introduced to the basics of sewing by hand. We will explore cutting out a pattern, learning the running, overcast, and tack down stitches, and complete a donut plushie.
This class is best enjoyed by school age learners who can work independently. Adult partners are welcome to stay and help their junior sewist at no charge. If you’d like to learn along with your child, please join us by purchasing yourself a ticket as well. To best enjoy our classes, please plan to have your child attend the entire class time, and register each learner.
This is an indoor workshop, masks are optional.

About the Instructor:
Heather Oster is a lifelong maker. For the last 10 years she has been a scout leader, and has been the artistic director and “art lady” for a summer day camp the past 8 years. One of her favorite things is to gather inspiration from reclaimed materials, and collaborate with kids to make useful items from reuse. Her classes will combine fun and creativity, and guide future makers as they learn new skills and explore their crafty side.
