Join us at Willow Run Market for an evening of color, creativity, and playful experimentation as nationally published mixed media artist Cher Salvatore travels from St. Louis to teach the art of Gelli printing!
If you’ve been curious about Gelli plates and monoprinting, this beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect introduction. The Gelli plate is one of the most versatile and exciting tools in mixed media art — allowing you to create one-of-a-kind layered prints on paper using paint, texture, stencils, mark-making tools, and more.
Throughout the evening, Cher will guide participants through foundational Gelli printing techniques while encouraging exploration and joyful creativity. You’ll experiment with a variety of materials and media to create a beautiful collection of unique collage and art papers — no two prints are ever alike!
Workshop fee includes:
• A 5”x7” Gelli plate to take home (a $20.99 value)
• Use of paints, papers, tools, and shared mixed media supplies
• Hands-on instruction from guest artist Cher Salvatore
• A generous collection of your own handmade prints to use in future art journals, collage, decoupage, cardmaking, mixed media, and creative projects
This workshop is appropriate for all skill levels — absolutely no experience needed. Just come ready to play, experiment, and discover the magic of printmaking in a relaxed and welcoming creative environment.
About Cher Salvatore:
Cher Salvatore is a self-taught mixed media artist from Wildwood, Missouri whose work has been featured in Somerset Studio and Art Journaling magazines. Known for her joyful teaching style and inspiring creative energy, Cher loves helping others discover new artistic techniques and creative confidence through playful exploration.
