Beginner Drawing Class (8 Sessions, Wednesday Nights)
Come join us for our Beginner Drawing Class where you'll learn the basics of drawing in a fun and relaxed environment. This class meets Wednesday nights for 8 sessions at Luz Art Gallery, 548 W 28th St suite 528. Whether you're a total newbie or just looking to brush up on your skills, this class is perfect for anyone wanting to explore their artistic side. You will learn drawing essentials and gain confidence as you explore still life, portrait, animals, and more. You will get comfortable with a variety of materials including pencil and charcoal. We will also draw outdoors as the weather permits.
Class taught by Rachel Neikirk, working professional artist and educator. Her silk painting exhibition “Eden Restored” debuted at Luz Art New York and was also displayed in Paris, France. She has an MA in Art Education from the University of Florida and has taught art in K-12 schools, camps, private lessons, and workshops for all ages. Visit her website.
This class will be hosted at Luz Art Gallery. Participants will be expected to respect the gallery space. Class meets weekly on Wednesdays from 5:45-7:45PM from April 2-May 21. Please be on time as building main lobby closes at 6pm.
Class space is limited to 5 participants offering plenty of individualized instruction. If you find yourself no longer able to attend the class in advance of the start date, please cancel promptly to make space for other participants.
