You will learn how to sketch with confidence and bring your illustration to life with blending, layering, and smooth shading techniques. By the end of class, you will leave with a completed colour pencil postcard ready to gift or keep.
This workshop is an ideal way to create a thoughtful Christmas present. Hand-drawn postcards are personal, intimate, and completely one of a kind, making them perfect for friends, partners, and family members. Start with a concise, easy-to-follow hands-on presentation that introduces essential skills. You will learn about sketching with basic shapes, layering, shading, and blending colours to build depth and smooth transitions. These foundations prepare you for the hands on portion of the session. - Hands-on practice: drawing and colour pencil techniques
After the presentation, you will practise each technique directly with guided support. This warm-up stage helps you gain confidence before moving on to your final postcard artwork.

- Put everything together by creating your own colour pencil postcard. You can complete one postcard or continue working to create multiple postcards, depending on your pace. By the end of the workshop, you will have a finished piece ready to gift or keep!
