About this Event
Students will learn some of the fundamentals of blacksmithing: drawing, rounding and squaring material, twisting, isolation, and other basics. We will also discuss how to make some more advanced twists and a few tricks geared toward getting visually appealing results in longer pieces.
We will talk about hammer control, basic tooling, items needed to set up a beginner shop, and other concepts useful to the new Smith. This is a great crash course in getting started with blacksmithing!
Please wear cotton or non synthetic clothes that you don't mind getting very dirty, full-length pants, and close-toed shoes.
Age 16+ (Under 18 MUST be accompanied by a guardian)
