Learn from an Experienced, Working Professional
Despina’s dance style blends modern and vintage belly dance, shaped by her training through the Salimpour School, her mentorship under Dalia Carella, and her Greek heritage. Growing up immersed in Greek music, rhythm, and social dance traditions deeply informed her musicality, grounded movement, and emotional expression.
She is a Licensed Salimpour Instructor, a proud member of the Dalia Carella Dance Collective, group leader of the Manhattan Salimpour Collective, and producer of Menagerie NYC.
Based in NYC, Despina creates a dynamic, inclusive learning environment. Her students are guided to dance safely and with intention—developing ease, grace, strength, and confidence, as reflected in the performance above.
