About this Event
The 2026 Marion Thompson Wright lecture series program will commence with a January film screening and Discussion of Before Things Fell Apart with scholar and filmmaker Dr. Tukufu Zuberi.
This documentary is inspired by oral histories recounted by traditional griots and history books written on the African continent.
Listen to the words of the African Historians from the 17th century and the griots from the 21st century tell the history of West Africa.
The event will be free and open to the public. 2nd floor of Express Newark
